Psalm 126:5
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Today, I wish to share with you a message of hope, of inspiration, and of divine justice. The scripture tells us in Revelations 22:12, "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done." This profound message from our Lord Jesus Christ is a reminder that God rewards us according to our works.
In our journey of faith, there are times we may feel
overlooked, unappreciated, or even forgotten. We may toil in the vineyard of
the Lord, and yet, it seems as though our efforts are in vain. But I am here
today to encourage you, to uplift your spirit, and to reassure you that God is
a just God. He sees your works, He knows your heart, and He will reward you
according to your deeds.
God's reward system is not like that of the world. The world
may reward the loudest, the most visible, the most influential. But God, in His
infinite wisdom and justice, rewards us not based on worldly standards but on
the sincerity of our hearts and the authenticity of our actions.
In the book of Matthew, chapter 6, verses 3 and 4, Jesus
instructs us saying, "But when you give to the needy, do not let your left
hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret.
Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." This
scripture underscores the fact that God sees even what is done in secret and
rewards us accordingly.
God's reward is not always immediate or even tangible, but
it is always just and perfect. His reward may come in the form of peace amid a
storm, strength in times of weakness, wisdom in moments of confusion, or joy in
periods of sorrow. His reward may also be stored up for us in heaven, where
moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
Beloved, let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the
proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Let us continue to
serve the Lord with all sincerity and diligence, knowing that our labour in the
Lord is not in vain.
As we go about our daily lives, let us remember the words of
the Apostle Paul in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with
all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know
that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord
Christ you are serving."
In conclusion, be encouraged, dear friends. Continue to
serve God faithfully, continue to love unconditionally, continue to give
generously, continue to pray fervently. For God is just; He will not forget
your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and
continue to help them.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face
shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift His countenance upon you and
give you peace. And may you always find joy and satisfaction in serving the
Lord, knowing that your reward is sure.
