Colossians 2:6
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him
Let us take an exciting opportunity for each one of us to delve deeper into our relationship with the Lord, to encounter His abiding presence in our lives, each moment of our existence. Walking with Jesus is not a route marked by extraneous pomp and show. It is a humble path — a path of love, compassion, understanding, and forgiveness. It is a journey that transcends our worldly comprehension and elevates us to a level of divine wisdom and consciousness.
As we walk with Jesus, we walk in the light. In his light,
we find our way, stumble less, and rise faster. His light illuminates our path
and sheds clarity on our vision. His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light
unto our path.
Faith is our essential companion in this journey. It serves
as the anchor, that holds us firm amidst all of life's storms. Even when our
sight fails us, our faith keeps us strong, steadfast, unwavering. It gives us
the confidence to press on, not because we see the entire pathway ahead, but
because we trust in the One who guides us.
In this daily walk with Jesus, we are not alone. We walk
with a community of believers, sharing each other's joys and lighten each
other's burdens. As the apostle Paul advised, "Carry each other's burdens,
and in this way, you will fulfil the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2).
A daily journey with Jesus means daily surrender to His
Will. It means dying to ourselves daily, giving up our desires, our plans, our
way, and allowing Him to direct us. It is to say, "Not my will, but Yours
be done". This surrender is not a one-time event but a daily choice. And
with each surrender comes freedom, peace, and divine direction.
Walking with Jesus also demands that we practice forgiveness
daily. We are called to forgive others as Christ has forgiven us. This may not
be easy, but it is a commandment. Through prayer, we seek the strength and the
grace to forgive and forget, promoting peace and unity in the body of Christ.
My dear brothers and sisters, as we embark on this daily
journey of faith, let us remember that our guide is none other than Jesus, our
Saviour. His loving hand will guide us, His unfailing love will sustain us, and
His grace will be abundant for every step we take.
In this journey, let us remain connected to the Word, for it
is our spiritual nourishment. Let us cling to our faith and nurture it through
prayer. Let us love one another and look out for each other, just as Christ
loves us.
God is ready to walk with us every day, every step of the
way. Are we willing to take His hand and journey forward? Remember, the journey
might be long and challenging, but His grace is sufficient for us. And the
destination – oh, it is beautiful. It is none other than eternity with our
loving Father.
May God bless our journey, and may we grow deeper in our
love for Jesus Christ. Amen.
